The Irondale Ensemble Project is as close as we come these days to the Elizabethan acting companies that once presented Shakespeare’s plays to the Earl of Leicester, Sir Francis Drake and the Virgin Queen of England. ...What is on offer is the miracle of the word made flesh. I wish you joy in it.” —Lewis Lapham, editor of Lapham’s Quarterly

New York Narratives – curated by Brooklyn artist Samuel Ferri

It's true, everybody's got a story to tell, but we've narrowed it down to nine. These artists of unique backgrounds share personal narratives of day-to-day urban struggles. The beautiful, the mundane, humor, and tragedy are amongst the motifs mixed into this fascinating mosaic of city voices. Among the artists, the exhibit features the published work and animations of Fort Greene, New York Times cartoonist, Isaac Littlejohn Eddy, as well as the touching vignettes of cancer survivor, Pepsi Togar. The show also includes the cartoons of Time Out New York cartoonists, Samuel Ferri and Brendan Leach.
