What we do

We are an ensemble of citizen/artists.We use our craft to provoke discussion, raise awareness and inspire our audiences to embrace a socially just world. We exist to make challenging, demanding and, above all, entertaining theatre and we have been doing it since 1983.

IRONDALE PRODUCTIONS

who we are

We are committed to taking on “impossible” projects, on stage and in the community.

The kind that scare us a little bit and challenge us a lot. We present work that speaks to what is happening in the world now—today—no matter when it was written.

ABOUT US

NEWS & EVENTS

What's on Jim's Mind

Since 1983 Irondale has been a theatre of research and inquiry. Once a week Jim, our co-founder & artistic director, writes a letter to our audience sharing what is on his mind. Topics span anything and everything from theatre, music, and art to history and current events, to baseball.
